Review: Starbucks Pineapple Black Tea Infusion
I love a fresh pineapple. I even have a pineapple core/cut tool. It’s red! (No, the color has nothing to do with nothing but I just wanted to share. Anyway!)
The Starbucks Pineapple Black Tea Infusion drink tastes artificial.
You’ve probably received this message in the Starbucks app.
I always order my drinks unsweetened. I do that because the added sugar is just unnecessary for my body. I took a sip of the drink and my first thought was, “maybe I need to take another sip”.
It almost tastes like I’m drinking plastic if that makes sense.
Starbucks describes the drink as, “Tropical pineapple flavors from our fruit and botanical blends are combined with premium Teavana Black Tea then slightly sweetened with liquid cane sugar for a refreshing drink that’s just subtly sweet”.
Doesn’t that sound good?!? I thought so which is why I bought a venti instead of the normal “taste-test” tall.
Starbucks, I love ya but this is definitely not for me! The artificial taste is enough to steer anyone clear of this drink.
My first visit to Starbucks after trying this, I asked the barista about this drink and she basically confirmed my taste buds. Of course everyone is different so don’t take this as law.
Have you tried the Starbucks Pineapple Black Tea Infusion? If so, what did you think?
More of a coffee drinker instead of tea. Have you tried cold foam? It’s good!
